The Franklin Residences Goes Pink for Lights for the Fight
The Philadelphia skyline went pink this week, kicking off National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Philadelphia skyline went pink this week, kicking off National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Lights for the Fight, spearhead by CBS 3 and Susan G. Komen® Philadelphia, is a salute to the thousands of brave individuals in the Philadelphia Area who have survived breast cancer, and serves as a reminder to all to stay vigilant in this fight.
“These four little words, LIGHTS FOR THE FIGHT, pack a very powerful punch in our local efforts to save lives. Reminding a loved one to get a mammogram, holding a fundraiser, writing your senator for increased research support, distributing literature to uneducated populations, taking the hand of an underserved woman and walking with her to the doctor— LIGHTS FOR THE FIGHT, inspires our entire community to do their part. To join our fight. To save lives.”
The Franklin Residences, our 18-story, high-rise in Center City, will participate, as we uplight the iconic “Benjamin Franklin House” sign and the Lincoln Balcony, which faces Chestnut Street, through October 31.
Also participating are buildings and landmarks across the region from the Battleship New Jersey in Camden to National Constitution Center and Boathouse Row.
“We are honored to be a part of this incredible campaign,” says Lea Anne Welsh, COO of Korman Communities, the Philadelphia-based, family-owned real estate company that manages The Franklin Residences. “We all know someone who has been impacted by breast cancer, and Lights for the Fight sends a strong message of hope and unity to all those who are battling this devastating disease.”
The Franklin Residences also will make a financial donation to Susan G. Komen Philadelphia® for every apartment lease signed during the month of October.
