Meet Norma Cabrera, Housekeeping Supervisor at AVE Austin North Lamar

Norma ensures the housekeeping team delivers the highest quality service. She prepares our luxury apartment rentals for move-ins, provides monthly housekeeping service for our furnished residents, keeps amenity spaces clean, organizes housekeeping storage areas, and upholds AVE's brand standards.
Q: What is a typical workday like for you?
A typical workday for me starts with reviewing my schedule and getting my cart set up for the day. I assist the rest of the team with getting their day started as well and then take inventory to ensure we have all the necessary items in stock so we can successfully complete any task that comes to us. I inspect apartments to ensure they are up to standard and keep track of any items needed.
Q: How long have you been working in this industry?
I have worked in the industry for about 3 years.
Q: What do you love most about being a part of the AVE Team?
I love working with the team and I am passionate about going above and beyond for the residents. I most enjoy seeing residents happy and being able to make a difference by delivering cleanliness and positivity.
Q: What is your favorite amenity or service at AVE Austin North Lamar and why?
My favorite amenity is our resort-style pool area because I love the outdoors.

I am from the city of Corinto in El Salvador.
Q: What is your favorite hobby and why?
My favorite hobby is going to the lake with family and friends to spend quality time with them and take in the beautiful scenery.
Q: What is your favorite spot in the Austin area and why?
My favorite spot in Austin is the Domain area; I always find good places to eat while I shop.
Q: What are some fun facts about you that we might not know?
1. I like cooking.
2. I always take barefoot walks in the park.
3. I love watching cleaning and organization videos to learn how to improve.
4. I love sharing jokes and telling stories about fun experiences that happen to me.
