My role at AVE consists of a fairly diverse array of responsibilities. A core aspect of what I do is provide support to all of our teams with application-related needs, as well as guidance on best practices. In addition to this, much of my time is spent working on various projects and initiatives to help streamline and optimize processes, while continuously analyzing how we can leverage current and new technology to support our teams in delivering strong service to our residents.

Q: What is a typical workday like for you?

I typically start my day looking at any open tickets that need to be addressed and prioritizing what needs immediate attention. The rest of my day is usually a mix of helping resolve issues for team members, working on various projects, and addressing high-priority items as they come up. No two days are ever the same.

Q: How long have you been working in this industry?

I started as a part-time leasing consultant 12 years ago and have been primarily providing technical support for Yardi (and other applications) for the past 10 years.

Q: What do you love most about being a part of the AVE team?

I love the culture and commitment to our QUEST values. Our entire team is passionate about them, and walk the walk!

Q: What is your favorite amenity or service that AVE provides and why?

Hands down, the intense focus on providing guests and residents with the best experience tailored to their individual needs. We care so much!

Q: What is your hometown?

Rochester, NY (near the Finger Lakes)

Q: What is your favorite hobby and why?

Kayak fishing! It takes me to beautiful places I've never been. I compete in Kayak Bass Fishing tournaments as a member of NYKBF and enjoy the competitiveness but also the genuine sense of community. It is a tight-knit group, and although we all want to win, no one is ever too proud to help someone else become a better tournament angler. I'm the only female competing within our trail, which gives me a great sense of accomplishment. When I'm fishing on my kayak (and not competing), everything in my head melts away, and I am simply present in the moment.

Q: What are some fun facts about you that we might not know?

I am related to the inventor of diesel engines.
I enjoy hiking in the Adirondacks and have climbed two of the highest peaks in New York, one of them by myself.
In 8th grade, I was pulled up to my school's varsity track & field team as a thrower (discus & shot put) and was named MVP of the team my sophomore year.
