Christie is responsible for handling furnished reservations from start to finish including inquiries, tours, processing applications, invoicing, walking suites before move-in, managing housekeeping schedules, and checking in residents. She also assists the leasing team with inquiries and tours.
Update: Christie was promoted to the Senior Resident Services and Leasing Manager at AVE Santa Clara.
Q: What is your hometown?
A: Warren, Ohio
Q: How long have you been with AVE?
A: A year and 3 months
Q: What is a typical workday like for you?
A: There is no such thing! Which is exactly how I like it!
Q: What brings you the greatest satisfaction in your role?
A: When a resident comes into the office to thank me for something or says how much they loved staying here.
“I love the interaction with the residents. By the time they leave, even after a short stay, it is tough to see them go. Connecting with the residents is the best part of my job!”
Q: What is your favorite AVE amenity or service and why?
A: That we offer 30 day stays with a 15-day notice. After working in the corporate housing industry for years on the other end, I would have loved to have a partner like AVE who offered shorter stays. Flexibility is so important to our partners and residents.
Q: What is your favorite neighborhood spot in the East Bay and why?
A: My favorite spot near my home in Dublin is Clubsport, which recently was bought by the Bay Club – it is a gym where I have my social time. My favorite spot in the East Bay is a restaurant called the Townhouse. My favorite dive bar is McNally’s in Oakland.
Q: What’s something interesting about you that we might not know?
A: I am a huge Ohio State football fan, and I used to own a bakery called Great Harvest Bread Company.
