At AVE Hamilton Green, community means looking out for every neighbor, including the four-legged kind. 100.7 WHUD recognized the White Plains community for celebrating National Pet Month with their AVE is PAWsome Campaign, a resident-powered initiative supporting SNARR Northeast. SNARR Northeast is a special needs animal rescue and rehabilitation organization right in White Plains.

Residents rallied with generosity, donating nearly 400 items of food, toys, and supplies. Their contributions filled 15 boxes for the animals in SNARR Northeast’s care, and monetary gifts added even more support for the organization’s work.

The celebration continued with Paws on the Green, a SNARR Northeast adoption event hosted at AVE Hamilton Green. Nearly every pet on site went home with a new family that day.

WHUD’s Heather DeLuca applauded AVE Hamilton Green for bringing residents together and shining a light on local organizations that care for pets in need across Westchester County.
