This contest is open to all current AVE residents of the United States, or those physically residing within the United States during the contest time-frame, aged 18 years or older, or the age of majority in their state of residence if older, except employees of Korman Communities, their affiliates, subsidiaries, and promotional agencies (collectively, the “Sweepstakes Entities”), and each such individual’s immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, or sibling, and each of their spouses) and household members (whether related or not). There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this contest, but you must fill out the entry form to be eligible to win. One entry is allowed per resident during the contest time-frame. Korman Communities is not responsible for entries not received for whatever reason. Korman Communities has the right to cancel this contest at any time and for any reason prior to September 29, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. EST.
Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of this Sweepstakes, acting in violation of these Official Rules, or submitting multiple, fraudulent, or duplicate entries, and to void any entries obtained thereby. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, or garbled entries, or for any technical, hardware, software, network, or other failure of any kind that limits an entrant’s ability to enter or that affects the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes.
The entry form will ask residents to identify their residency type as either “Apartment Rental” or “Furnished Apartment.” Residents will only be eligible for the prize category associated with their verified residency type.
This Sweepstakes runs from September 9, 2026 at 9 am EST through September 29, 2026 at 5 pm EST. It is being promoted by Korman Communities. The winner will be announced to all AVE residents via AVE living’s social media accounts. Korman Communities will notify winners by email with instructions regarding eligibility verification, prize acceptance, required documentation, and fulfillment. By filling out the entry form, you agree to have your name and community of residence announced on the brand social media pages. The deadline for entry will be September 29, 2026 at 5 pm EST. After this time, no further entries will be accepted.
Except where prohibited by law, by accepting a prize, each winner grants Sponsor and its designees a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use the winner’s name, likeness, community of residence, and any photographs, video, before-and-after images, or testimonials relating to the design project, in any media now known or later developed, for advertising, promotional, and publicity purposes, without additional compensation or further notice to the winner.
Korman Communities plans to award one Virtual Design Package to one eligible Apartment Rental resident at each AVE community. Each Virtual Design Package includes virtual interior design services for one eligible room. One portfolio-wide Grand Prize winner will also be selected. The Grand Prize includes more comprehensive interior design services and a $1,000 Kickstart Budget for designer-approved furnishings, décor, and accessories. Only one prize may be awarded per apartment home. Virtual Design Package and Grand Prize winners must remain current AVE residents throughout the applicable design process to redeem their prizes.
Korman Communities also plans to award one Furnished Comfort Kit to one eligible Furnished Apartment resident at each participating AVE community. Furnished Apartment residents will be eligible only for the Furnished Apartment prize category and will not be eligible for the Virtual Design Package or portfolio-wide Grand Prize. Korman Communities reserves the right to substitute any prize, or any portion thereof, with a prize of equal or greater value.
The winners will be drawn via a random number generator tool on October 9, 2026. All entrants will be assigned a number in the order they enter. Apartment Rental and Furnished Apartment entries will be separated and drawn independently based on the prize category for which the resident is eligible. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received in the applicable prize category. The prizes cannot be redeemed for cash/no cash value.
Potential winners will be notified by email using the contact information provided at entry. If Sponsor is unable to contact a potential winner within five (5) business days after the first notification attempt using reasonable efforts, or if a potential winner declines the prize, fails to timely return any required documentation (including applicable signed prize terms), or is found ineligible or in violation of these Official Rules, that potential winner will be disqualified and Sponsor may, in its discretion, select an alternate winner from the remaining eligible entries in the same prize category, time permitting.
Virtual Design Package winners must complete the required Design Intake Survey and provide all requested photographs, measurements, and supporting information within one (1) month after receiving the survey. The Grand Prize winner must schedule the initial design consultation within one (1) month after notification. Failure to satisfy the applicable requirement within the stated timeframe will be considered a voluntary forfeiture of the applicable prize.
For Virtual Design Package winners, furniture, décor, accessories, materials, delivery, installation, assembly, labor, taxes, and other recommended purchases are not included and will be the sole responsibility of the winner.
The Grand Prize winner may choose between two fulfillment options. Under the self-directed installation option, the winner will receive a purchase guide and floor plan and will coordinate purchasing and installation. Under the full white-glove service option, Korman Communities will coordinate the purchasing of approved curated items and provide professional installation and final styling by the designer, subject to the approved prize scope and budget. The $1,000 Kickstart Budget may be used only for designer-approved furnishings, décor, and accessories selected as part of the project, has no cash value, is non-transferable, and must be used during the six-month project period. Any purchases, upgrades, substitutions, fees, taxes, delivery charges, or services exceeding the approved Grand Prize scope or $1,000 Kickstart Budget will be the sole responsibility of the winner.
Subject to the Virtual Design Package winner's timely submission of complete materials, the initial virtual design presentation will be delivered within three (3) months after Korman Communities receives and confirms the completed Design Intake Survey and all required supporting information.
Each Virtual Design Package includes one (1) round of revisions within the original project scope. A Virtual Design Package winner must submit the Design Satisfaction Survey within two (2) weeks after receiving the initial design presentation. If the Design Satisfaction Survey is not submitted within that timeframe, the design will be considered accepted and final. Any revised Virtual Design Package presentation will be delivered within one (1) month after receipt of the completed Design Satisfaction Survey. The Grand Prize includes up to two (2) rounds of revisions within the original project scope, and the entire Grand Prize design experience—including consultations, revisions, purchasing assistance, installation, and final styling, as applicable—must be completed within six (6) months after the initial consultation. Dissatisfaction with a design recommendation does not entitle a winner to additional revisions, substitute services, cash, a refund, a credit, or another form of compensation. Final satisfaction with the design or every recommendation is not guaranteed.
Virtual Design Package and Grand Prize winners will receive a ten percent (10%) Crate & Barrel/CB2 discount applicable to merchandise available through the retailers’ websites. The discount expires three (3) months after the winner receives the applicable design presentation, cannot be redeemed for cash, and may not be transferable. The discount remains subject to the applicable retailer’s terms, conditions, exclusions, inventory, and availability. Crate & Barrel and CB2 are not sponsors or administrators of this Sweepstakes unless otherwise expressly stated in writing.
Virtual Design Package and Grand Prize winners will be required to sign prize-specific terms governing fulfillment of their respective design prizes. Those prize-specific terms supplement these Official Rules and do not replace them. If prize-specific terms conflict with these Official Rules, these Official Rules control.
The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter. By entering this sweepstakes, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, successors, and assigns from any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising out of or relating to participation in the Sweepstakes or the acceptance, possession, use, misuse, or redemption of any prize, except to the extent caused by Sponsor's gross negligence or willful misconduct. Winners are solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes associated with acceptance and use of any prize. Sponsor will issue an IRS Form 1099 to any winner whose total prize value is $600 or more, as required by applicable law.

Except where prohibited by law, as a condition of entering this Sweepstakes, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, by binding arbitration administered by a mutually agreed-upon arbitration provider under its then-applicable rules, rather than in court, except that entrant may assert claims in small claims court if the claims qualify. Entrant and Sponsor each waive any right to a jury trial and to bring or participate in any class, collective, or representative action. Where applicable law does not permit an entrant’s claims to be arbitrated or does not permit a class-action waiver, this paragraph, or the applicable portion of it, will not apply to that entrant, and any remaining disputes will be resolved as otherwise provided by law.
To the extent any provision of these Official Rules conflicts with the law of a state in which an entrant resides, Sponsor will comply with the applicable state law requirement, including as to prize delivery timing, disclosures, and registration, and such state law requirement will control solely as to entrants residing in that state. Except as set forth in the preceding sentence, this Sweepstakes shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania without regard to conflicts of law principles.
