HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY, AVE FLORHAM PARK!

The AVE team celebrated the one-year anniversary of AVE Florham Park with an “Evening Under the Stars” reception on June 21, 2018 with over 200 guests including residents, business partners, township officials, and team members.

Guests enjoyed food stations prepared by Eight Hills Caterers, wine, beer, and the brand’s specialty cocktail AVE-tini, a Ben & Jerry’s ice cream cart, and live DJ entertainment by Shughes Entertainment.

Lea Anne Welsh, COO of Korman Communities and president of AVE, presented a specialty cake created by Justina Cicalese, owner of Juicy’s Sweet Treats, that was a replica of the mid-rise, state-of-the-art rental community featuring one- and two-bedroom furnished suites and luxury apartments and more than 65,000 square feet of business and resort amenity space.

Cicalese worked on site three days to construct the chocolate-and-vanilla cake from scratch, featuring eight 18”x13” cakes, three gallons of Swiss meringue buttercream, and 15 pounds of fondant.

Welsh thanked development partners the Rockefeller Group, builders Sharp Management, Mayor Mark Taylor, and all the team members on site every day who are passionate about delivering an exceptional resident experience.

“It’s really unbelievable that a year has gone by. The Grand Opening was such a momentous occasion for so many people,” Welsh said. “The Korman Communities-AVE partnership with the Rockefeller Group was one of the most exceptional experiences in all of our careers because it was such a collaborative partnership to build the best product in an amazing borough. Mayor Mark Taylor, thank you for being here, and for all of your support during the process to break ground and to build this special building. Thank you Chris Pompeo, Phil Trifone, Randy Weatherly, and the rest of the Sharp Management team – this would not have been possible without your hard work, dedication, and attention-to-detail to build the best product.”

“What we accomplished here together is second-to-none because it was truly a partnership, a team in lock step with one vision in mind,” Welsh says.

General Manager Jamie D’Ercole was beaming with pride as Welsh recognized her leadership and her team’s dedication to the resident experience.

“It’s been such an honor and a thrill to open and manage this incredible building and lead a team of passionate service professionals,” D’Ercole says. “Florham Park is such a great place to work and live, and we look forward to continuing to exceed our residents’ expectations.”

Welsh also thanked all the clients and residents in attendance for choosing to call AVE Florham Park home. “You choose to live here, and you choose to place your employees that are moving to the area here, and you trust us to take care of them,” she says. “We take that responsibility very seriously.”

Residents Ashli and David Dyas recently relocated to New Jersey. They love attending resident events to get to know their neighbors and spend time with the team. “The anniversary party was the best yet,” Ashli says. “I can’t say enough about AVE Florham Park. It has made our transition from living in the south a lot smoother. The team is so welcoming, friendly, and helpful, and it’s a beautiful community. We feel like we’re living at a resort!”
