CRM & Email Marketing Manager

AVE is seeking a talented CRM & Email Marketing Manager to join our dynamic marketing and communications team. This role will lead our CRM and email marketing initiatives, helping us deliver exceptional experiences for prospects and residents while driving measurable results.

The CRM & Email Marketing Manager will report to the Senior Director of Furnished Marketing.

This role will have a hybrid schedule, which will be a mix of reporting to your local home base community in either Pennsylvania or New Jersey and from home, with up to 25% travel required as needed throughout all AVE markets nationwide.

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy

  • Serve as AVE's subject matter expert on CRM and email marketing best practices
  • Advise leadership, marketing, and operations teams on CRM/email strategy and innovations
  • Communicate key email marketing trends to drive channel improvements

CRM Management

  • Oversee CRM platform management, vendor partnerships and integrations (including lead management from aveliving.com)
  • Implement and maintain data governance standards, ensuring data security and integrity
  • Develop and manage data segmentation strategies for targeted campaigns (email, SMS, print, paid media)
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM, and evolving privacy regulations
  • Align CRM strategies with broader business objectives and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Drive automation and sequencing best practices across the customer journey
  • Evaluate CRM platform capabilities and recommend future solutions

Email Marketing

  • Lead AVE's email marketing platform and maintain brand and property-specific templates
  • Manage the email marketing calendar and campaign planning process
  • Develop and execute campaigns that reflect AVE's brand voice and visual identity
  • Ensure email deliverability, compliance, and performance through best practices
  • Run A/B and multivariate testing to optimize campaigns and enhance customer experience
  • Manage the email project request queue via the ticketing/project management system

Reporting & Performance

  • Establish reporting frameworks for email KPIs and contribute to multi-channel performance analysis
  • Ensure accurate CRM lead attribution and maintain data integrity through ongoing audits
  • Manage tagging, UTM parameters, and email deliverability protocols (SPF, DMARC, Google Postmaster Tools)

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in a CRM, email marketing or digital marketing role - ideally within real estate, multifamily housing, or hospitality
  • Technically savvy with a passion for leveraging tools and systems to enhance marketing efficiency and performance
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills; experience using reporting tools to track and optimize marketing performance
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams) and collaboration platforms
  • Experience with email and data marketing platforms such as Sell Zendesk CRM, Yardi/RentCafe CRM, Zoho CRM, Brevo, BeePro
  • Familiarity with CRM logic, database segmentation, and marketing automation practices
  • Excellent communicator, able to collaborate cross-functionally and manage multiple projects at once
  • A natural problem solver and self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment

Compensation

  • $70,000-$75,000/year

Individual compensation decisions will vary as the annual base compensation range provided is approximate and determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, qualifications, education, and geographic location. AVE also offers additional bonus potential paid out on a monthly and/or quarterly basis (dependent upon the position), which is not included in the base compensation range listed above.
