What is a Sales Assistant at AVE?
Sales Assistants are responsible for supporting our SVP and Regional Director of Business Development as well as actively selling our flexible-stay solution nationwide. This team member will support our corporate client business at our White Plains, Union, Clifton, Somerset, and Florham Park locations. They will also assist with setting up our sales team for success and preparing them for meetings and conferences by putting together spreadsheets and presentations, as well as assisting them with their social media efforts. They will be responsible for independently closing leases, researching new business opportunities, and staying current by utilizing relevant industry tools and publications.
This is an on-site position based at one of our Northern New Jersey communities, with travel required to all AVE locations as needed.
Sales Assistant responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Act as the single point of contact for selected accounts
- Finalize application paperwork and coordinate move-in details with the on-site operations teams
- Provide booking details and special request information to the on-site teams
- Assist Business Development Managers with management and development of accounts
- Actively participate in sales activity and independently close leases
- Tour clients and walk-ins as needed
- Provide out of office coverage for Business Development Managers
- Research companies, leads, and contacts using Costar, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Navigator, and Construction Connect
- Complete necessary prep work for meetings, trade shows, presentations, tours, on-site events, and reservations
- Update information in Zendesk CRM regarding booked and pending deals
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite programs to assist the Business Development team with spreadsheets, reports, and presentations
- Conduct weekly Zendesk/Oscar audits to ensure all information is correctly submitted
- Assist with gathering information and completing RFP's
- Create social media posts for the Business Development team using Canva
- Fill out Marketing Request Forms for Business Development Managers as needed
- Complete all sales tickets for Business Development Managers
- Create and update calendars for sales team members as requested
- Assist with submitting expense reports
- Assist the SVP of Business Development with NJRC meeting needs
- Research and join Facebook Film Production groups to search for housing needs for film crews
- Manage Intern Programs and engage in social media to promote these programs
Requirements
- A minimum of two years' post-graduate work experience in a sales or administrative assistant role, preferably in the hospitality or corporate housing industry
- Experience with industry tools such as Costar, ZoomInfo, Zendesk, LinkedIn Navigator, and/or Canva is a plus
- Intermediate experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Must have reliable source of transportation for required travel for sales meetings, events, etc.
Compensation
Individual compensation decisions will vary as the annual base compensation range provided is approximate and determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, qualifications, education, and geographic location. AVE also offers additional bonus potential paid out on a monthly and/or quarterly basis (dependent upon the position), which is not included in the base compensation range listed above.
