IT Help Desk Specialist

AVE by Korman Communities is hiring an IT Help Desk Specialist to join our technology team. As the IT Help Desk Specialist, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving IT-related issues, responding to service requests, and ensuring a smooth operation of our IT systems.

This will be a hybrid position based out of our Home Office in Plymouth Meeting, PA. Some travel to properties in the AVE portfolio nationwide as requested will be required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Act as first point of contact for day-to-day team member technology needs and respond to requests in a timely manner by phone, email, in person, through the ticketing system, and other communication channels
  • Assist users with basic hardware and network setup and issues (e.g., laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, conference room A/V set-up, etc.)
  • Provide level one business application support in applications such as the Microsoft Suite and property management and sales platforms
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues
  • Process team member onboarding and offboarding requests
  • Procure, set up, and manage IT inventory
  • Collaborate with other team members to share knowledge and improve support processes
  • Escalate tickets to other technical team members as needed
  • Create and maintain department SOPs and knowledge base
  • Strive for high customer satisfaction and effective communication
  • Train new and existing team members on how to use multiple applications
  • Support critical incidents outside of regular working hours when necessary and on rotations
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant technology and software to enhance troubleshooting skills and industry knowledge
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned


  • 2+ years of experience in an IT Help Desk role supporting multiple sites/locations
  • Basic knowledge of service desk systems such as GoTo Assist, ServiceNow, or other similar ticketing systems for incident/change/problem management
  • Multi-family, corporate housing, hotel, or other hospitality experience highly preferred
  • Associate or college degree preferred
  • Technology related certifications including ITIL are a plus
  • High level of interpersonal skill and the ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Must be available to work the required full-time schedule of Monday through Friday with flexibility for after hours support when needed.
