Business Application Support Technician

Korman Communities and AVE is hiring a Business Application Support Technician to join our technology team. The Business Application Support Technician will be providing technical assistance and support to end users with all software applications. The team member will also gather requirements and translate business needs into IT solutions with current programs, projects, and future initiatives in mind. This position requires both technical and business knowledge.

This will be a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Office in Plymouth Meeting, PA. Travel to all properties in the AVE portfolio nationwide as requested will be required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work side-by-side with all departments (operation, financial, sales, marketing, revenue, and on-site team members) and system partners to improve and automate our business practices by providing real-time solutions for our business needs.
  • Ongoing first level support of all applications (Like Yardi, Oscar, Sell by Zendesk, Microsoft, building systems).
  • Maintain a professional and customer-oriented attitude in all interaction with end users, and business partners.
  • Strive for high customer satisfaction and effective communication. Support the Senior Application Specialist with system implementation including requirements gathering, drafting documentation, preparing mockups, installing systems, QA/Testing, training, upgrades, and follow-up.
  • Document all support requests and issues, resolutions in ticketing system.
  • Manage user accounts and system security.
  • Assist users with basic hardware and peripheral issues that relates to software functionality (e.g., printer setup, scanner issues and others)
  • Training new and existing team members on how to use applications and perform basic troubleshooting.
  • Capture and maintain system change requests.
  • Ensure software licenses are properly managed and compliant.
  • Monitor system alerts and take appropriate actions to address issues or escalate them as needed.
  • Be available for on-call support and respond to critical incidents outside of regular working hours when necessary and on rotations.
  • Evaluate and recommend new opportunities for enhancing IT systems and processes.
  • Stay up-to-date on software application changes and new technology through training and self-study.
  • Interact with software partners to fulfill additional enhancements and development requirements.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in application support in property management and/or the hospitality industry. Yardi or RealPage experience is preferred. CRM experience is a plus. 
  • Multi-site experience required (multi-family apartments, corporate housing, commercial, construction, and/or other hospitality space).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong documentation and project management skills.

Must be available to work the required full-time schedule of Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm with flexibility for after hours support when needed.
