IT Project Manager

As the IT Project Manager for AVE, you are responsible for planning, executing, and completing IT projects within the defined scope, budget, and timeline. You will oversee the entire project's lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring that all project goals and objectives are achieved successfully. This role involves coordinating and collaborating with various stakeholders, including team members, clients, vendors, and senior leadership, to deliver high-quality IT solutions and services. You must have a combination of technical knowledge, project management expertise, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and drive successful and high-quality project outcomes.

This will be a remote position, but you must be located in one of AVE's existing markets in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Texas. Travel to all properties in the AVE portfolio nationwide will be required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Project Planning: Define the project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, tasks, resource allocation, and budget estimations.
  • Resource Management: Identify the required resources for the project and allocate tasks to team members based on their skills and expertise. Monitor and manage resource utilization throughout the project.
  • Risk Assessment and Management: Identify potential risks and issues that could impact the project's success and develop risk mitigation plans. Regularly assess project risks and implement contingency plans as needed.
  • Communication: Facilitate effective communication between project team members, stakeholders, and clients. Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, and any changes to project scope.
  • Budget and Cost Management: Develop and maintain a project budget, tracking expenses and ensuring that the project stays within budget constraints. Address any cost overruns promptly and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all deliverables meet the required quality standards. Implement quality assurance processes and conduct regular reviews and testing to validate the project's outcomes.
  • Project Execution: Lead and motivate the project team to achieve project objectives and meet deadlines. Monitor team performance and provide guidance and support when necessary.
  • Change Management: Effectively manage any changes to the project scope, requirements, or timelines. Assess the impact of changes and ensure that stakeholders are informed and aligned with the modifications.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, meeting minutes, and other relevant records.
  • Client Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Understand their needs and expectations and ensure that the project's deliverables meet their requirements.
  • Project Closure: Conduct a thorough project evaluation upon completion and ensure all project documentation is properly archived. Share lessons learned and best practices with the team to enhance future project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, leading and successfully delivering complex IT projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse project team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proficient in project management tools and software for planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Adept at managing project budgets and resources efficiently.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel throughout all AVE markets nationwide as needed
