AVE by Korman Communities is seeking a dynamic Sales Director to rally our team of dedicated business development professionals in Texas and drive the sales effort as we continue to expand our portfolio of properties across the state. The Director of Sales will be responsible for growing and expanding a strong corporate client base for AVE's flexible furnished suite program in Texas. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on senior sales leader with a proven track record of success in achieving results and exceeding revenue goals.

The Director of Sales can be based in Austin or Dallas, however, will be required to travel between both markets on a regular basis to support business needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Establish sales strategies and develop big picture projects and action plans for the Business Development team in Texas (currently Austin and Dallas)
  • Actively contribute to driving sales efforts by helping the Business Development team in Texas close deals (through attending sales appointments with qualified clients, conducting client tours, and managing their activities and pipeline to increase our client base and achieve sales goals)
  • Identify and close new business opportunities through the relocation industry, with consultants, HR professionals, executive assistants, global mobility, and related fields
  • Generate new business opportunities through cold calling, blitzing, research, and networking
  • Own your geographic territories of Austin and Dallas and know what is happening in your markets by driving and walking the areas regularly
  • Provide urgent follow-up on all furnished leads
  • Establish new corporate relationships, maintain them, and build vertically within the company
  • Sell value, not price
  • Proactively generate new ideas and sales plans to increase brand and property revenues
  • Build brand awareness as the company continues to expand
  • Inspire and motivate the Business Development team in Texas toward achieving sales goals
  • Train and develop Business Development team members in Texas through hands-on coaching and mentorship, reviewing their pipeline, meetings, territories, and sales activities
  • Monitor Texas Business Development team member performance and development goals, set objectives and clearly define priorities while holding team members accountable to team and individual sales goals as well as our high-level brand standards
  • Represent AVE by Korman Communities at networking events and industry meetings
  • Work closely with General Managers to provide support to the properties' sales efforts
  • Collaborate with AVE Marketing team and VP of Client Relations on brand marketing efforts and initiatives
  • Develop and manage the daily sales activity for all Business Development team members in Texas through our CRM
  • Analyze CRM reporting to identify opportunities for growth
  • Lead regional sales meetings on a quarterly basis
  • Meet with Brand President/Korman Communities COO and Key Strategic Accounts team on a regular basis
  • Collaborate with VP of Talent Acquisition and Development on the recruiting and interview process for new Business Development team members in Texas
  • Actively contribute to the execution of our Business Development training program strategy

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years of hands-on sales leadership experience in the Hospitality industry required. Corporate Housing industry experience is preferred.
  • A proven track record of success in actively leading a sales team to positive financial growth YOY
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, executing, and managing brand sales plans
  • Superior management skills
  • Strong training, coaching, and mentoring skills
  • A proactive, self-reliant, and results-driven approach to operate as an effective tactical and strategic thinker
  • A proven ability to influence and engage a team in a positive and energetic manner
  • Strong analytical skills to review CRM reporting and identify opportunities for growth
  • A collaborative, team player attitude to work cross-departmentally
