As a Maintenance Technician at
AVE Las Colinas, Jerry takes great pride in ensuring all apartments at AVE Las Colinas are move-in ready for new residents by conducting in-depth inspections and overseeing any necessary repairs. He also has been assisting with the rollout of our flexible-stay furnished apartments. Jerry’s teammates describe him as a team player who enjoys helping in any way possible to make the community a success.
Q: What is a typical workday like for you?
I meet with our Maintenance Manager to review the schedule. From there, I’ll prepare for the week by gathering the necessary tools, supplies and checklists to complete make-ready inspections and work orders.
Q: How long have you been working in this industry?
I’ve been in the hospitality industry since 2007.
Q: What do you love most about being a part of the AVE team?
I love being a part of the team. We are a tight-knit family and show each other a high level of professionalism.
Q: What is your favorite amenity or service at AVE Las Colinas?
The pool since Texas is hot year-round! The views aren’t bad either. I love seeing the sunset from my balcony.

My favorite hobby is playing basketball. It’s fun, and I get to exercise at the same time.
Q: What is your favorite spot in Dallas and why?
The Mandalay Canal Walk at Las Colinas! I like to walk on the waterside path and watch the gondolas.

I am a natural introvert. I have a photographic memory and an eye-for-detail.
