AVE COLLECTS NEARLY 1,500 POUNDS OF FOOD FOR HUNGER ACTION MONTH!

In September, we hosted our third annual food drive to support Move For Hunger and to raise awareness for Hunger Action Month.

All nine AVE flexible-stay communities in New Jersey, the Greater Philadelphia Area, and the East Bay Area of San Francisco hosted events with the theme “Giving Back Feels Good.” Healthy food and wellness services were provided. In return, residents were asked to make a food donation for Move For Hunger.

Thanks to the generosity of our team members, residents, and partners, just shy of 1,500 pounds of food was donated to Fulfill, Manna on Main Street, Community FoodBank of New Jersey, West Chester Food Cupboard, and San Francisco Marin Food Bank – providing over 1,000 meals for those in need.

We would also like to thank Move For Hunger’s moving partners for collecting the donations at each of our communities and delivering them to our local food banks – Crown Relocations of New York, Two Men and a Truck of Westchester/Philadelphia, Harrington Moving & Storage, Wayne Moving & Storage, an Atlas Van Linesagent, and Gentle Giant Moving of San Francisco.
