At AVE, giving back is more than a seasonal effort – it’s part of who we are. This July, AVE launched our first annual Holidays in July campaign to continue our tradition of kindness, connection, and community impact, donating a total of 1,309 items to our community partners nationwide.
Inspired by our annual Holiday Spirit of Giving event each November and December, Holidays in July was designed to bring a mid-year boost of joy to our local partners. Across our portfolio, AVE teams collected donations throughout the month to support organizations that are making a difference with the goal of brightening someone’s day and showing that small acts of kindness can make a big impact.
Support Across the Nation
Each AVE community partnered with a local organization to create meaningful, targeted donation drives. At The Franklin Residences in Philadelphia, our team partnered with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) to support their gardening therapy initiative. Residents and team members alike contributed watering cans, garden gloves for kids and adults, knee pads, garden fences and lights, books about gardening, and complete children's gardening kits – supplies that will help young patients engage with nature and enjoy therapeutic outdoor activities.
In Texas, AVE Dallas Las Colinas partnered with the Texas Center for Proton Therapy, providing comfort and support to patients undergoing cancer treatment. Thoughtfully chosen donations helped create a soothing environment and showed these brave individuals and their families that they are supported.
Our AVE Hamilton Green team collaborated with Blythedale Children's Hospital in New York, donating a total of 250 items that were focused on bringing moments of happiness and ease to young patients during their healing journeys.
“We are so grateful to AVE for contributing to our mission to support our families, both inpatient and in the community through our Day Hospital and Health Home programs,” says Leah Saulsberry, Patient Ambassador at Blythedale Children’s Hospital. “Our patients and families are faced with many challenges as they navigate their health journeys and providing them with food and household supplies is one way that we can ease the burden. AVE’s support allows us to lighten the load for families and allow them to focus on what matters most – their child’s rehabilitation and healing.”
AVE Delivers Donations with Care
Throughout July, donation boxes at each AVE community filled with essential and joyful items, thanks to the generosity of our residents, team members, and partners. Once the collections were complete, our teams personally delivered the donations to their partners – adding a personal touch and a heartfelt thank you to the incredible professionals working on the front lines of care and compassion.
The Holidays in July campaign is a testament to AVE’s ongoing commitment to service and community engagement. It reflects the belief that generosity goes beyond one season and AVE is proud of the effort, spirit, and heart shown by our teams and residents this month.
