AVE recently held its first Resident Rep Rally at AVE Florham Park.
Resident Representatives from AVE’s New Jersey and Suburban Philadelphia properties, joined by their General Managers and AVE leadership team members, gathered at the brand new, state-of-the-art AVE community in Morris County, New Jersey, for a day of team-building, best practices, brand culture, and fun.
The event was hosted by AVE’s Director of Leasing Miranda McElroy. “Our Resident Representatives are such an important part of our brand. We could not be as successful without them,” she says. “We wanted to take a day to recognize that.”
McElroy led the team in brand values and best practices while Resident Representatives shared creative ideas and success stories. The team had some fun with AVE and local trivia and they were treated to lunch and a massage session.
“We are just bricks and mortar without our team members. They bring our buildings to life,” says Lea Anne Welsh, president of AVE and COO of parent company Korman Communities. “Our unfurnished leasing program is critical to our brand’s success and our Resident Representatives are there for our prospects and residents every day and do what is necessary to make them happy. We felt it was necessary to have a day to celebrate them.”
Korman Communities pioneered the furnished suite program in Philadelphia in the 1960s when they began offering flexible leases for fully furnished suites for individuals in transition and on extended business travel at their residential apartment communities. In the decades that followed, they began offering a hospitality approach to residential living providing both furnished and unfurnished residents conveniences such as weekday club breakfast, package acceptance, valet dry cleaning, and monthly catered social events.
Today, AVE continues to innovate its amenities and services to offer residents the ultimate carefree lifestyle with business amenities featuring cutting-edge technology, seasonal bike share, weekly fitness and wellness classes, movie nights under the stars, Resident Receptions, and more. The Resident Representative is responsible for the leasing program at their community, but also ensures this lifestyle is delivered to exceed residents’ expectations.
