AVE is Awarded a Platinum AVA Digital Award by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals

AVE was honored for its Twitter channel, @AVELiving, by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals with a Platinum AVA Digital Award in 2014.

The AVA Digital Awards competition recognizes outstanding achievement by creative professionals involved in the concept, direction, design, and production of media that is part of the evolution of digital communication. Judges are industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.

This year, there were 2,100 entries throughout the United States, Canada, and several other countries from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, production companies, web developers, and independent creative professionals. Winners ranged from individual communicators to media conglomerates to Fortune 500 companies.

Winners were selected from more than 200 categories in audio, video, and web-based production. About 14% of the entries won the Platinum Award, the organization’s top honor. Only three entries were honored with an AVA Digital Award for their Twitter channel: AVE; the city of Philadelphia’s Visitors’ Center; and ACN, Inc.

“We recognized the increased demand for and use of social media as a mainstream mode of communication, so in 2012, we started giving it more attention,” says Lea Anne Welsh, president of AVE. “We launched a Twitter account, we grew our Facebook program, and we launched a microsite, AVE Social, with two blogs offering original, customized content for our residents.”

“The goal was to create an online gathering place for our residents, our clients, and our surrounding community so that they could access any brand news, property information like the launch of our bike share amenity, new partnerships like our relationship with WallyPark, a valet parking facility serving Newark Liberty Airport, and exclusive contests for our residents,” says Ashley Cerasaro, AVE’s communications specialist.
AVE was also honored by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals with a Gold MarCom Award for AVE Social in the fall.
