As the Maintenance Manager at
AVE Malvern, Dave oversees the maintenance team. He guides them on best practices in maintaining the community at the highest level. From ensuring
apartments are move-in ready, to routine preventative inspections, and completing maintenance requests. His goal is to always ensure the team is supported so they can confidently deliver five-star service to our residents.
Q: What is a typical workday like for you?
I kick off each day with a team meeting to provide everyone with their schedules and set a positive tone for the day. I then conduct a property walk-through to ensure our community is in the best condition. Throughout the day, I connect with my team, housekeeping, and resident services on the status of make readies, work orders, and any special projects occurring onsite. I wrap up the day by placing supply orders, recap maintenance activity, and create schedules for the following day.
Q: How long have you been working in this industry?
11 months! I started as a Maintenance technician at AVE Blue Bell Villas and was quickly promoted to my current role of Maintenance Manager at AVE Malvern. Prior to AVE, I was a contractor for 35 years.
Q: What do you love most about being a part of the AVE team?
The camaraderie amongst the team. Everyone is so supportive and constantly motivating one another.

Our dog park is my favorite
amenity. I love dogs and AVE Malvern has the best dog park for our furry friends.

Q: What is your favorite hobby and why?
In my free time, I enjoy smoking meats and building race cars.
Q: What is your favorite spot in the Greater Philadelphia area and why?
Lake Nockamixon. It is a great fishing spot!
Q: What are 2 or 3 fun facts about you that we might not know?
I like to fish, spend time with my family, and volunteer locally to help support children with disabilities.
