Every November and December,
AVE hosts charity drives at all of our communities to support local food banks and the
Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.
We partnered with Move For Hunger for our Thanksgiving Food Drive. Throughout the month, our team members, residents, and friends donated unopened, non-perishable food items to help families in our communities celebrate Thanksgiving. Over 800 pounds of food were transported to food pantries in New Jersey, the Greater Philadelphia Area, and the East Bay Area of San Francisco, which will provide 680 meals.
In December, we kicked off our annual toy donation drive to benefit Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. Nearly 300 toys were donated to make the holidays brighter for kids in our communities.
“At AVE, we’ve always felt it is important to give back during the holiday season. We have been doing these drives for almost a decade, and it’s exciting to see their growth as we have grown,” says Lea Anne Welsh, COO of Korman Communities and president of AVE. “We want to be engaged in our communities. It makes us feel good to be able to give back.”
