AVE recently hosted its Second Annual Resident Appreciation Week.
Traditionally, AVE communities host a monthly catered Resident Reception.
“We pioneered resident engagement activities almost four decades ago,” explains Lea Anne Welsh, president of AVE and COO of parent company Korman Communities. “We want to create a sense of community for our residents, so we organize these events to bring them together. It’s also a great way for us to get to know our residents and learn how we can continue to exceed their expectations.”
Last July, AVE team members organized the brand’s first “AVE Resident Appreciation Week.” The goal was to do something special for the residents above and beyond the monthly Resident Reception, offering mini events and treats throughout an entire week to show #averesidentlove.
Due to its success, the teams brought the week of resident appreciation back. From August 14-19, team members offered treats or conveniences based on the themes Sundae Monday, Trail Mix Tuesday, Wine Down Wednesday, Treat Yourself Thursday, and Fitness Friday.
“Our teams organized fun events and set up really creative stations this year,” Welsh says. “Turnout was tremendous. We get so excited by any opportunity to show our residents how much we value and appreciate them.”
